ARTIST
Seth Fairweather
Seth Fairweather is an Arizona-based artist combining glass with mixed media to help the glass say more than it would on its own. His work combines material and form in powerful efforts towards expanding the communicative potential of art- as language, shape, and symbol.
His relationship with glass began at Tulane University in 2001. After graduating from Alfred University with degrees in sculpture and experimental studies, he received an MFA from Temple University and began a geographically expansive career in fabrication and material-based arts. With a consistent intent on developing his own work, he traveled far and wide before settling in the Arizona desert. There, he builds upon the lessons gained from teaching at private studios, public access and community-based art spaces, and the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. He currently researches alternative energy usage in glass art and exhibits across the United States.
